"To provide access to the outdoors and outdoor activities for all, especially young people and those who would not otherwise have the opportunity."
Mount Cook Adventure Centre is a not-for-profit organisation, based on the outskirts of the Peak District. We use the spectacular natural environment to provide a range of exciting outdoor activities and residential trips which develop key life skills and create memories which last a lifetime. If you are a school or university, youth group, charity, corporate group, a group of family or friends, or sports club - we would love to hear from you!
Since opening in July 2016, we have already worked with numerous charities and youth groups to help those who would not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy new experiences within the outdoors. If you would like to help us support more groups in 2017, click the donate below!
We marked a successful first year in operation in style this June, with a party attended by over 150 guests. The Mount Cook team offered guests a tour of the Centre, as well as activities including bush craft, indoor rock climbing, team challenges, fencing on the roof, circus skills and face-painting.
Looking to book a unique Birthday Party for your child? We offer up to three hours of exciting outdoor activities, from bush craft and den building, to team challenges and orienteering. Additional extras include a Special Birthday Lunch and personalised invitations and party bags!
We believe that the outdoors should be accessible for all, regardless of age, ability or background. We want to share the great outdoors with everyone! Mount Cook offers a friendly, safe and supportive environment for groups of children, young people and adults with disabilities and additional needs.
Team-work is an essential skill for the success of any organisation. With our corporate team-building days and residential trips, we offer a range of exciting outdoor activities designed to develop communication, trust, team-work and problem solving skills within a group.
