Last year, the Mount Cook team was thrilled to walk away with the New Business of the Year Award 2016, after just 4 months of opening! This year, the new not-for-profit applied for the Customer Service Award and the Small Business of the Year Award. Unfortunately, the Small Business of the Year Award was one of the most popular categories, and Mount Cook's application was unsuccessful. However, the purpose-built Adventure Centre was Highly Commended for Customer Service, after receiving numerous accounts of outstanding feedback since opening in July 2016.

Guest Services Manager, Mandy Preston, said: "I am over the moon that our organisation has been recognised for its brilliant customer service. Here at Mount Cook, we go above and beyond to ensure that every guest who stays at our Centre has the best experience possible. We want our guests to try new things, pioneer beyond their personal boundaries and be enthused by the outdoors and our range of exciting outdoor activities! Our friendly staff are definitely our greatest asset. The majority of the feedback we have received comments on our 'happy staff members', where 'nothing is too much trouble'. I'm very proud to be a part of such a fantastic organisation, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for our team!"

Mount Cook currently holds a 5* rating on Facebook and Trip Advisor!

Since opening, Mount Cook has held a 5* rating on Facebook and Trip Advisor! One parent, whose child had attended one of Mount Cook's Holiday Clubs, said:

"I would highly recommend Mount Cook to everyone, as the staff are just so friendly and helpful and the instructors are amazing with the children! As we were leaving both girls asked me if they can go again next year! Big thumbs up from us all, keep up the good work!"

Another family who joined Mount Cook for a Glamping Pod & Pizza Weekend wrote:

"The staff were very friendly, relaxing atmosphere and perfect setting. We live in a small flat with no garden or outdoor space so it was a huge treat to look out onto the Peak District countryside and spend time with my daughter outdoors. The pod was very clean and comfortable, a fun stay for my daughter. [...] Compliments to the chef, loved the make-your-own-pizza's and amazing scones! Lovely group over the weekend, my daughter made some nice friends as did I. We didn't see anyone about when we left, but just wanted to say a big thank you for a great weekend and memories made."
