May Blog: Why go Glamping?

If we’re honest with ourselves, camping in the UK isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. You set off on a British camping holiday with that romantic idea of returning back to basics, cooking on an open flame, drinking chilled wine on a warm balmy evening, and admiring the stars in the clear night sky. Well, not quite.

But why go camping, when you can go Glamping?

If you love the outdoors as much as we do, then it’s quite likely you will have spent a night sleeping under canvas. We know camping doesn’t offer the same luxuries as a B&B or a hotel, but it’s that feeling of being one with nature which makes camping such an enjoyable experience. Our Glamping Pods are one notch up from a roll matt, sleeping bag and a canvas tent. Not only that, but you get to stay in the most beautiful part of the UK – the Peak District (sorry, we’re slightly biased!).

Each of our Glamping Pod sleeps up to four guests in bunk bed accommodation, complete with an en-suite toilet and wash basin. Our communal showers are located on the ground floor of the Centre. We also provide USB points, so you can keep your devices charged up during your stay. Watch our Glamping video, and see for yourself:

Hiking, canoeing, rock-climbing and archery are just a few of the activities you can participate in whilst enjoying your Glamping experience. The pedestrianised High Peak Trail runs parallel to our Centre, with bike hire available at Middleton Top. Or you can walk into the historical town of Cromford, and visit World Heritage Site Cromford Mill – the heart of the Industrial Revolution during the 19th Century.

Our Glamping experiences allow you to reconnect with and experience nature and the great outdoors. Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, and escape to the country where you can relax, recharge and try new experiences and activities!

Fresh air, beautiful surroundings, and plenty of things to do … what more could you ask for?!
